Senasa inspected 14 shipments nationwide to verify compliance with the phytosanitary requirements established by the authorities of the Asian country.

Following acceptance of the phytosanitary requirements of the South Korean Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency (APQA), Senasa plant quarantine specialists inspected 14 shipments nationwide.
For the issuance of the phytosanitary certificate, Senasa performs an online inspection, and also dissects some suspicious fruits to rule out the presence of pests and / or diseases such as Stenoma catenifer and Fiorinia fioriniae, considered as quarantine pests for the destination country.
Thus, the shipment is made in compliance with the protocols agreed between Peru and South Korea, which establishes that the cargo moves with cold treatment during the journey, so the container is self-cooled until its arrival in the destination country.
The expectation for the first shipments is great among agro-exporters from various regions, which now have a larger audience to direct their products to.
As is known, the Peruvian Hass avocado has already managed to conquer markets such as Japan, China, India, Thailand, the United States and countries of the European Union.
